Original (6/25/14): When last we left our “Hunger Games” heroes in the blockbuster movie sequel “Catching Fire,” Katniss Everdeen, the reluctant symbol of the growing Panem rebellion, is rescued from her second stint in the games by leaders of the uprising.

Unfortunately, Katniss’ friend Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) is not so lucky, and is taken hostage by the Panem Capitol and its ruler President Snow (Donald Sutherland). With unrest growing across the country, President Snow has now taken to the Capitol TV airwaves — in this first teaser trailer for “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1″ — to promote unity, prosperity and sacrifice for the betterment of Panem citizens.

But his message also comes with a warning: Obey the system or pay dearly.
