The red carpet has arrived.
The clouds parted just in time for the Academy’s annual “red carpet roll-out,” during which production crews literally roll the world’s most famous crimson carpet down Hollywood Blvd. for the press. And, as you can see by the video below, there is a lot of press.
This was hardly the beginning of the preparations for this year’s Oscars. The Academy has had crews working around the clock since early this week to build the bleachers, stages and scaffolding for the arrivals area outside the Hollywood & Highland Center, home of the Dolby Theatre.
