Good news, Coldplay fans: There is now apparently a demographic of people out there who have even less luck in the bedroom than you do.

That dubious honor goes to: fans of Nickelback!

According to music-based dating site, Nickelback is the world’s No. 1 musical turnoff. The site, which connects potential partners based on musical taste, surveyed its users’ lists of deal-breakers, and nothing had folks running for the door faster than the mention of Nickelback. Apparently, listing the Canadian rockers as a favorite band on your dating profile is “how you remind” people that you have really terrible taste.

Which Artist’s Fans Are Most Likely to Find Love?

It’s harsh news for Nickelback, one of the most frequently scorned bands in rock who, despite selling 50 million albums worldwide, once lost a popularity contest to a pickle. The silver lining, if there really is one, is that Nickelback only won by a slim margin. Coming in a close second on the survey was fellow Canadian Justin Bieber, followed by Lady Gaga, Ke$ha and U2. And, of course, Creed.

The scientific-ish study also revealed some other interesting tidbits, including the fact that, beyond a shared disdain for Nickelback, men and women vary wildly in their musical turnoffs. Men listed no-nos like Kings of Leon, Eminem and Mumford & Sons, while women bristled up at the sight of artists like Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and, sensibly, Insane Clown Posse.

Nickelback’s crowning as the ultimate sexual repellent is especially noteworthy to fans of Coldplay, who earlier this year were named by Tastebuds as the world’s biggest prudes. Say what you will about Chris Martin and company, but at least their fans’ abstinence is voluntary.
