Largest LEGO Lemonade Stand Built in Philly

This weekend in Philly, LEGO and the non-profit Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation have teamed up for an event that will keep the kids both entertained and quenched.

Gracing the lawn of the National Constitution Center at 5th and Arch streets is what LEGO is deeming the world’s largest LEGO lemonade stand. The stand was built June 7 and 8 by volunteers.

On Saturday, June 9, the giant LEGO stand will serve lemonade from noon to 4 p.m. while other LEGO building activities take place. The event is part of the official National Lemonade Days weekend, and aims to inspire kids to build their own lemonade stands to raise money for ALSF. The non-profit group, founded in Philadelphia, seeks to raise funds for research aiding the treatment and cure of childhood cancers.

On top of the LEGO building fun and lemonade, the National Constitution Center is offering free admission to children 8 and under who donate to ALSF at the NCC on June 9.
