Just three weeks ago, Judge Stephanie Sautner told Lindsay Lohan she was in the “home stretch” of completing her probation requirements and, therefore, so close to turning her life around.

But according to TMZ, she may have hit a speed bump. And a man with her car.

The celebrity gossip site reports that Lohan was leaving a Hollywood nightspot called the Sayers Club shortly after midnight Wednesday when she allegedly struck a bystander with her new Porsche and “peeled out.”

Police were called to the scene, where the alleged victim – the manager of the nearby Hookah Lounge –said he was not injured. According to witnesses, the 26-year-old man was “grazed” by Lohan’s car while she made a three-point turn. One eyewitness told TMZ, “She just bumped him,” but added that the actress “drove away like a madwoman.” The witness also said that the man she hit simply “got up and started smoking his hookah.”

After a short investigation, police essentially closed the case, saying they would not pursue the matter unless someone was injured and filed a report.

Well, guess what? The unidentified man Lindsay allegedly hit reportedly checked into an L.A. emergency room this morning claiming he is injured and plans on pressing charges against the starlet.

According to the latest reports, the man, who said he wasn’t from the United States, initially claimed he had no idea who hit him and, to boot, had no idea who Lindsay Lohan was. People on the scene reportedly explained her celebrity status and, a short while later, he complained of being injured.

While the circumstances of the alleged victim’s injury claim sound suspicious, Lindsay did not do herself any favors by reportedly switching seats with her passenger after the incident. TMZ has posted pictures showing the 25-year-old actress behind the wheel of her Porsche as she left the scene of the incident in addition to a photo, taken shortly after, showing Lohan in the passenger seat.

Lindsay has responded to the allegations on Twitter with the following statement: “Scrape? This is all a complete lie. I’ve been at community service. Last night, I attempted to wish a friend happy birthday, which I didn’t even get to do because I was freaked out by all of the paparazzi. These false accusations are absurd.”

If it turns out the club manager was injured as the result of the star’s driving, it could be considered a hit-and-run crime and therefore a violation of her probation.
