Lindsay Lohan’s probation could be revoked now that law enforcement sources are saying the “Mean Girls” actress lied about the details of Friday’s car crash, according to TMZ.
At the hospital following the accident, Lohan reportedly told members of the Santa Monica Police Dept. that her assistant was driving the Porsche that collided with a truck on the Pacific Coast Highway. But the starlet’s story backfired when her assistant later said it was Lindsay in the driver’s seat.
Authorities are including Lohan’s lie in their report. This could mean jail time for the actress—lying to a police officer is a crime, and it may also violate her probation.
After the wreck, Lohan and her assistant were both seen exiting the vehicle on the passenger side, eyewitnesses say.
The celeb news site also reports that Lohan’s lawyer Shawn Holley was rushing to the hospital to represent her client during police questioning, but she arrived after Lohan gave her statement.
Despite the possibility that she could face prosecution, Lohan was back on set of her upcoming Lifetime movie “Liz and Dick” on Monday morning looking unfazed.
