The brutal custody battle between Halle Berry and ex Gabriel Aubry wages on, and now at a much higher price—literally.

TMZ reports that Berry has been ordered to pay $20,000 per month—almost a quarter of a million a year—in child support for 4-year-old daughter Nahla.

Sources said a family court judge issued the order when both parties’ lawyers faced off Monday. After dating for five years, the couple split in 2010, yet this is the first time such an order has been in place, according to TMZ.

The family’s ugly mess is poised for even more court drama since the actress and French fiancée Olivier Martinez requested the court’s permission to take Nahla to Paris, where they plan to live.

“There are laws in France…that protect children, protect right to privacy,” Berry told Extra in April. “All I want is for my family and myself to have a normal life. When I’m not at work, that’s very important to me.”
