Lindsay Lohan believes that getting arrested last week in New York City aggravated her pre-existing pneumonia so badly that she had to be taken to the Mt. Sinai emergency room late on Sunday night, according to a report.

The actress, who suffers complications due to asthma,  received medication for the infection — including antibiotics — and was discharged shortly after.

She was “treated and released, and is doing fine,” Lohan’s rep told E! News at the time.

The paparazzi magnet — a notorious chain smoker whose infamous unpaid Chateau Marmont hotel bill included 49 packs of cigarettes in 47 days, according to TMZ — had been complaining of “walking pneumonia” for the last several weeks, but concerns over her asthma led her to seek treatment.

“She’s fine, but she had a bad case of asthma as a kid, so she has to take these things seriously. When she was a kid, we almost lost her a couple of times because of the asthma,” said her father, Michael Lohan.

But now, the “Liz and Dick” star is telling friends that the stress of her bust last Wednesday morning for leaving the scene of an accident after she allegedly sideswiped a pedestrian with her car outside a Manhattan hot spot was the real cause of her breathing troubles.
