Lindsay Lohan turned heads with a flowing dress by Theia that she wore to an amFAR event on February 6th in New York. By the end of the night, the “Mean Girls” star decided to make some alternations, cutting the dress to half its original length, according to Us Weekly.
There’s nothing wrong with Lohan wanting to express her sense of style. It does create a problem however when the changes are made to a rented dress that cost $1,750.
“She said that the dress had ripped [at a club after the fundraiser] — she couldn’t possibly wear it like that — so her stylist friend went to the club bouncer and requested some scissors to repair the torn part of the dress,” said an Us Weekly source.
“She’s out of control and behaving really badly,” continued the source.
Charlie Sheen jumped through hoops in order to get the dress for Lohan. Sheen called in a personal favor from stylist Phillip Bloch and even offered to split the cost of the dress. It was Lohan’s idea to rent it for the evening instead.
Charlie Sheen’s heart was in the right place with the gesture. But Lohan has exhibited issues with taking care of her belongings in the past. In 2011, the 26-year-old star was accused of stealing a necklace that she claims was borrowed. In 2009, she lost $2 million worth of jewelry belonging to L.A. store XIV Karats.
