Mel Gibson just can’t seem to get it right when it comes to the authorities.
According to TMZ, the 57-year-old actor had yet another volatile encounter with police officers last Saturday after he was pulled over at a DUI checkpoint on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California just after 1:00 a.m.
The cops asked Mel if he had been drinking. He replied that he had not, and reportedly gave the officers no reason to believe otherwise.
However, when asked to produce his driver’s license, Gibson was unable to do so. He was asked to go to a secondary screening spot and quickly became angry.
“Why are you harassing me?,” Gibson reportedly yelled. “I have had problems with you Lost Hills deputies in the past.”
Mel was famously charged with driving under the influence, on the very same highway, in 2006.
The actor made headlines for screaming anti-Semitic remarks at the arresting officers and later entered rehab to battle an alcohol addiction. He was sentenced to three-years of probation for the incident.
Lucky for Gibson, he was let off with just a warning this time around.
