Pat Boone is a wanted man.
The legendary “Ain’t That a Shame” crooner, who scored five number one hits in the 1950s, has an arrest warrant with his name on it after missing a scheduled court appearance in connection with a recent lawsuit.
According to TMZ, the 79-year-old star purchased an apartment on a luxury cruise ship, but is now in danger of going down with the vessel after a group of investors successfully sued the company in charge of building it. A judge reportedly ordered the company to fork over $800,000 in lawyer’s fees, but the attorneys have yet to receive their cash.
In response, the lawyers subpoenaed those who purchased quarters on the ship, including Mr. Boone, in hopes of getting the money.
Pat reportedly missed the court hearing because he is on vacation in Hawaii. The judge, in turn, issued the warrant.
