Julianne Hough is headed back to where it all started.
According to a TMZ report, the former “Dancing with the Stars” pro will return to the hit ABC series as a judge for the upcoming 19th season. Barring a snag in negotiations, Hough would join existing judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli as a fourth expert on the panel.
The 26-year-old singer, dancer, actor and choreographer appeared as a guest judge last season, and was notably harsher in her criticisms than other guest judges, such as Robin Roberts, Donny Osmond, Redfoo and Ricky Martin.
Julianne rose to pop culture prominence as a “Dancing with the Stars” pro from 2007-2012, during which she won back-to-back seasons with Olympic speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno and IndyCar racer Helio Castroneves. She then departed the series to focus on her acting career, landing lead roles in critically panned films such as “Rock of Ages,” “Safe Haven” and “Paradise.”
The new season of “Dancing with the Stars” begins Monday, September 15.
