World Peace Calls Brown a ‘Fat A**’

An early exit in the NBA Playoffs isn’t expected of the L.A. Lakers, but it is becoming more common for this aging team. Despite their attitudes towards a premature summer, players kept their exit interviews clean and constructive – a memo which must have missed Metta World Peace.

While backing coach Mike Brown, World Peace decided to take a jab at Brown’s figure, according to

“Mike didn’t miss 3-point shots; I missed 3-point shots. Mike didn’t come in out of shape. You know, he (actually) did come in out of shape. Actually, he is a fat a**,” said World Peace, laughing. “But it was the players, not coach.”

It’s not the smartest move to jokingly mock a coach, especially when the Lakers are on the verge of a major makeover. The Lakers have an option to release World Peace using the amnesty provision as a result of the lockout.

“It’s something you’d have to ask them,” World Peace said. “For me it’s easy: The Lakers did a lot for me and I like it here, but whatever’s best for the Lakers — me not being here, if it’s best for the Lakers, it’s good for me.”

The shortcoming of this season leaves an aging Kobe Bryant still in search of his sixth championship. Trade rumors will be rampant. Roster overhauls will be discussed. And calling your coach a fat a** can’t help.
