In a scene right out of a movie, Ryan Howard delivered on a young fan’s request for him to hit a home run.
Prior to a Friday night match-up between the Phillies and the Marlins, Howard met a young blind fan on the field named A.J., who has Leber’s congential amaurosis. During their meeting A.J. handed Howard a bracelet to wear and asked him if he could hit him a home run.
Not only did Howard wear the bracelet throughout the game, but he also roped a solo home run to right field in the second inning. You can check out their meeting as well as Howard’s solo shot in the video below.
The Phillies beat the Marlins, 4-1.
