Nielsen Ratings – Monday Night (Fast Tracked)

Rules of Engagement

• While still down from last season, Prison Break helped its chances considerably by retaining almost all of its audience from it’s season three premiere with a 4.7/7. 8:00 p.m. on Fox. (Last Week: 4.9/8).

• The news for K-Ville wasn’t as good as it hemorrhaged viewers from last week’s series premiere. The increased competition knocked K-Ville down to a 4.1/6, which isn’t a good sign for the New Orleans drama as it competes with Prison Break for the right to be paired with 24 in the spring. 9:00 p.m. on Fox. (Last Week: 6.2/9).

Chuck didn’t start out of the gate as strong as many expected, managing a modest 6.4/10 although it performed respectfully among 18-49 year old viewers. 8 p.m. on NBC.

Heroes was down from last year’s premiere, pulling in an 8.8/10. With fans by and large disappointed with the last year’s season finale last year, NBC may have a slight cause for concern. 9:00 p.m. on NBC.

• NBC’s third helping of supernatural drama came in the form of Journeyman, which recorded a 6.8/11 in the spot formerly held by Studio 60. Despite the respectable retention, the numbers don’t appear to bode well for the time traveling drama. 10:00 p.m. on NBC.

• Fans of How I Met Your Mother should brace themselves for trouble as the season three premiere came in with a disappointing 5.3/8. Despite its critical acclaim and cult following, rumors have floated around for some time that it’s not a favorite among CBS execs. 8:00 p.m. on CBS.

• The series premiere of The Big Bang Theory actually managed to improve on Mother’s lead-in (expect it to drop heavily next week) netting CBS a 6.2/9. 8:30 p.m. on CBS.

• Following the general theme of the night, Two and a Half Men was down from last season’s premiere, pulling a 9.1/13, although this could possibly owe to the decreased lead-in. 9:00 p.m. on CBS.

• Up against Heroes, Rules of Engagement did a solid job of retaining the audience from Two and a Half Men with an 8.0/12. 9:30 p.m. on CBS.

• The season premiere of CSI: Miami flex its muscle with an impressive 10.9/17, giving it second place for the night. 10:00 p.m. on CBS

Dancing with the Stars may as well have been dancing on the stars considering the pounding it put on the competition. The one and a half hour premiere scored a 14.0/21, numbers that likely had ABC execs doing a dance of their own. 8:00 p.m. on ABC.

• After losing over half its lead-in The Bachelor might not want to look towards those dancing executives for his bridge to be. 9:30 p.m. on ABC
