Kathy Griffin Returns; Maybe It’s Time For A Change To “My Life on the DD-List.”

Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List returns for a fourth season this week on Bravo and it looks like she is trying desperately not to notice she hasn’t moved up to at least the B-list. How many D-Listers have won an Emmy, traveled the world with camera crew in tow, played a one-night-stand at Carnegie Hall and interviewed some of the biggest stars in Hollywood? [watch these D-List videos]

This season she dishes on her usual suspects but we see some deeper glimpses into her personal life. Included will be segments about her devastating divorce, the death of her beloved father and much more screen time for her surprisingly devoted staff. One thing that is very noticeable: She’s gotten a little hotter. I guess the budget now includes hair, make-up AND a stylist. But the most prominent improvement is the way her bust line has moved up in the world as well. Maybe it’s time for a name change: “Kathy Griffin: My Life on the DD-List.”

I’m looking forward to the latest NBC train wreck reality show “Celebrity Circus” which premieres June 11, at 9:30PM ET/PT. With a mixture of “oh yeah, I remember that guy” and “who the hell is she?” types, this promises to be a glorious spectacle – if you, like me, are fascinated by truly insipid TV.

The cast will compete in more than a dozen Celebrity Circus challenges including hopefully falling from the high wire, errantly thrown knives, being shot back into oblivion by catapult and taking a turn on “The Wheel of Death.” The celebrities will be instructed by “top experts” in the circus world (I couldn’t find anything on them – not that I looked too hard) who will also train the lucky contestants who get to experience this “Worst Show on Earth” up close and personal before being voted off by the American public.

Check back here for my breathless, blow-by-blow recaps later on in the week.
