Depp, Farrell and Law Donate “Parnassus” Money To Heath Ledger’s Daughter

The Parnassus Blokes

Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law, who all came on to Terry Gilliam’s project The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus after its star Heath Ledger died in order to help preserve the performance, have apparently also decided to donate all the money they made from the movie to Ledger’s 2-year-old daughter Matilda. Apparently Ledger’s will hadn’t been updated to include her when he died (he likely wasn’t expecting such a thing to happen), so there was some concern for her future. Gilliam himself summed up everybody’s reaction to this kind gesture rather eloquently:

“That’s extraordinary! And wonderful. When you’re part of that, you think, ‘Ah, this is maybe why I went into the movies in the beginning. I thought it would be full of wonderful people.'”
