These are the kids who will launch a thousand TV screens tonight on the CW, with the premiere of 90210. Watch them on Fancast! But what do the more established folks on the show have to stay about the new series? We talked to Lori Loughlin at the CW’s TCA party earlier this summer, where she told us that the show is not really the remake everyone is touting it to be. “The premise is the same in the sense that it’s a brother and sister who have moved from out of state to Beverly Hills and are going to Beverly Hills High,” she said. “Other than that, it’s a completely new premise.” What’s her character like? “They’re not a wealthy family but they are in a wealthy neighborhood. Rob, my husband on the show, is a character who grew up going to west Beverly High and whose mother was a big movie star and has money.” Does she think that with shows like The Hills and Gossip Girl, TV has room for another ‘rich kid’ show? “Well, we’ll have to wait and see.” Said Lori, flashing a toothy and confident smile that only a 90210 mom can pull off.
