Tina Fey Returns To SNL To Play Sarah Palin

By Julie Zied

As predicted, last night on the season premiere of Saturday Night Live, alum Tina Fey returned to play Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin. The show-opener featured Fey with a pregnant (good thing for that podium!) Amy Poehler playing Hillary Clinton as the two addressed the “ugly role” of sexism in the race. Fey’s impersonation was spot-on, even getting Palin’s Alaskan twang down perfectly, especially when she confronts the issue of global warming, saying “I believe it’s just God huggin’ us closer.” Watch the full opening above.
