Don’t you just love pilot season? TV is fresh with new possibility – like the possibility of some absolute favorites returning to the small screen! Such as Gilmore Girls‘ Lauren Graham whose new project “Let It Go” just got the green light from ABC, Reuters reports. It’s a single camera comedy starring Graham as a self-help guru teaching women to “let it go” when it comes to bad boyfriends. But as is usually the case, she can’t seem to follow her own advice, and is newly single after her seemingly perfect boyfriend dumps her. The script is written by Alex Herschlag of “Will & Grace” fame.
Along with Graham’s show, ABC also gave the go ahead for another as yet unnamed pilot from writer/executive producer Tad Quill of “Scrubs.” It’s a multi-camera comedy revolving around two forty-something friends on very different paths in life. One has a new baby at home while the other comes to terms with a newly empty nest. No castings were announced.
Of course, it’s important to remember a pilot order doesn’t necessarily mean it will make it on to your TV next fall. But as the development news continues to trickle out of Hollywood, it sure is fun to have something to hope for, like Lauren Graham back on TV!
