As if the dance floor needed any more sizzle, word is out that Holly Madison is joining the cast of “Dancing with the Stars,” according to USmagazine.
A rep for the show says, “ABC is not commenting.”
There is speculation that Madison is replacing singer Jewel, who’s battling knee injuries suffered during dance rehearsal.
Madison’s fellow Playmate Bridget Marquardt allegedly spilled the beans on Fox’s web talk show, The Strategy Room.
“I’m so excited for her,” Marquardt said. “She’s wanted to do it for so long, it just never worked with her schedule and Hef was always like ‘I don’t want you to do that,’ and now it’s her time, so I’m really happy for her.”
It was first reported that Jewel would be “good to go” for Monday’s season premiere.
Jewel said in a statement last week that she’s “dedicated to getting better and showing the judges and America that I can cha cha cha with the best of them. Don’t count me out as I am in this for the long run.”
“Girls Next Door” star Holly recently split with boyfriend magician Criss Angel, whom she started dating after leaving Hugh Hefner’s Playboy nest.
Jewel’s husband, rodeo star Ty Murray, is among the competition. Get an inside look at this season’s “DWTS” with these rehearsal photos.
The two-hour premiere of “Dancing with the Stars” airs Monday, March 9th on ABC.
