HBO Angers Church: HBO is apologizing over its portrayal of a Mormon temple ceremony in the series Big Love, after Church officials complained that showing the sacred ceremony was offensive. “Obviously, it was not our intention to do anything disrespectful to the church, but to those who may be offended, we offer our sincere apology,” said an HBO rep. The episode, to air Sunday, will show Jeanne Tripplehorn’s character, Barb, participating in the ceremony.

This is Anvil! VH1 will be sreening the Spinal-esque documentary, Anvil, which follows a faux band who was once popular in the 1980’s and toured with the likes of Bon Jovi and The Scorpions, but has lately been forced to play in local bars. “This film is so much more than a documentary about the roots of metal — it’s a story about the power of perseverance and friendship and the passion that drives them,” said VH1 president Tom Calderonem, maybe with a straight face. The first screening kicks off April 10th. Watch the Anvil trailer.
