With Lauren Conrad leaving The Hills, what will be the fate of the show that gave so many reality starlets their start? “I can’t even say if there is a next season,” said Hills creator Adam DiVello about the possibility of a season six. “I have no information for you on The Hills beyond Lauren Conrad. We’re focusing on this season, and this will likely be our highest-rated season yet. I think a lot of people are going to tune in to see Lauren wrap her storyline.”
If the trailer for the new season is to be believed, Conrad will be making up with arch friendemy Heidi Montag, whom she originally had a falling out with because of Montag’s hanger on-turned-husband, Spencer Pratt. But don’t bet that the union will last, says DiVello. “What you see in the trailer, with Lauren and Heidi, is very deceiving,” he said. “You’ll see that in one of the first few episodes of the season, that when they wake up the next morning from that [reconciliation], things may not be as they had hoped.”
The trailer also shows a possible rift between Heidi and Spencer, when the man with the flesh-colored-beard puts the moves on a bartender, who then confronts Heidi. Only time and US Weekly pictures will tell if Heidi/Spencer & Heidi/Lauren end up together in the end.
