‘A Beautiful Life’ has gotten even more beautiful.
Elle MacPherson has joined the cast of ‘A Beautiful Life,’ a new CW series about co-habitating model babes in the heart of New York. MacPherson will play Claudia, an aging and stern former model who is now the owner of a top modeling agency.
‘Life’ was produced by Ashton Kutcher and has already cast Mischa Barton, Sara Paxton, Ben Hollingsworth, Ashley Madekwe and Nico Tortorella for lead roles.
The Australian beauty, also known as ‘The Body,’ has a history in TV and films dating back to the 90’s. In 1996 she portrayed Blanche Ingram in the USA version of Jane Eyre and had minor roles in several series, including an appearance on America’s Next Top Model. She also had a string of forgettable films like Batman & Robin, If Lucy Fell and The Mirror Has Two Faces, where she generally portrayed some version of – you guessed it – the one-dimensional beautiful woman.
However it was in her stint on Friends where she was able to show the most range, playing Janine Lecroix, Joey’s sexpot roomie he could barely contain himself around. Perhaps this latest CW role will allow her to flex her acting muscles once again.
