A Genre Changing Move: Mara Brock Akil, creator of CW’s ‘The Game,’ may turn the half-hour series into an hour-long comedy drama. The move has only been done once – and unsuccessfully – when Fox developed ‘Ally’, a half-hour long series based on the hour-long ‘Ally McBeal’.
