Christina Applegate says she was devastated by a candid photo of her that was snapped while she smoked, just a few months after being diagnosed with breast cancer.
The ‘Samantha Who’ actress tells People magazine that having the cigarette was a “rare slip up,” adding that “I feel it was discounting all the work that I’ve done. The day I found out I had cancer I quit everything that was bad for me that I was putting in my body.”
“Over the last year, with everything that’s happened, there have been a couple of times that I’ve slipped up. That was one of those rare occasions – and of course they got the picture,” she said.
Applegate was diagnosed with breast cancer in August of 2008, but declared that she was “clean and clear” of the disease about a month after news broke.
