Ed Westwick, AnnaLynne McCord At The 11th Annual Young Hollywood Awards

Sponsored by Hollywood Life, the 11th Annual Young Hollywood Awards had more to offer than just the blinding mystique of Adam Lambert.

Evan Rachel Wood, 21, who first attended this event as a 12-year-old aspiring actress, was given the Young Hollywood Superstar award. After she gave us the scoop about how she got ready for the soirĂ©e (“I told hair and make-up to rock’n’roll it up!” she said), she dropped a confession. “I have a celebrity crush on [ER’s] Shane West,” she told us, and explained she’d been to his birthday party the night before. “It was a great party,” she said. Rumor has it that the two may even be dating.

Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick, who has a dapper British accent in real life, was tracked by anonymous, screeching fangirls as he walked the red carpet, but still managed to grab his Young Hollywood Breakthrough Male award. “The last few years have been crazy,” he told us. “And I’m looking forward to more.”

And speaking of CW stars, ‘Nip/Tuck’ actress Joely Richardson lauded ‘90210‘ youngster AnnaLynne McCord, who co-starred with her on the series. “When I worked with her, we called her a young Angelina Jolie because of her magnetic presence,” she said.

McCord herself wanted to give advice to young actors, “I’m a little opinionated. Step it up! I really think young Hollywood should be on the cover of a magazine for a good cause,” she said to us. “For something we believe in. We’re so lucky to do what we do, especially my age – I am 21…I just feel like that if young Hollywood realized what a big role model we are (worldwide), for the kids that are watching us — then they would find a good cause and stand behind it.”

Twilight’s original director Catherine Hardwicke’s award was presented by Emile Hirsch, who next stars in her ‘Hamlet.’ And another ‘Twilight’ breakout star, Kellan Lutz, also presented the gorgeous Bar Refaeli with her award. The model looked a vision in rose, with her hot-pink neon off-the-shoulder mini-dress on top of 4 inch purple heels.

Michael Clarke Duncan, presenter of the Young Hollywood Action Star award, told us “It’s nice to be associated with Young Hollywood. You’re only as young as your girlfriend, as they say.”

But he had much sobering advice to young actors: Don’t do drugs. “If I was 25 and I had the money I have, I’d probably be doing something!” he told us. “But I never did drugs or drank, it was just the way I was brought up by my mother.
