Miss California USA Carrie Prejean Loses Her Crown

The beauty pageant business is getting darn right ugly again.

Miss California USA Carrie Prejean will lose her crown after all.

The controversial pageant beauty was told in May she could keep her Miss California USA title, but Donald Trump released a statement Wednesday confirming Prejean has been fired.

‘Breach of contract’ is the reason cited for Prejean’s termination. She has allegedly been difficult to work with and has skipped out on appearances.

Prejean came under fire for her answer to a question about gay marriage during the Miss USA pageant, a controversy that was fueled further when racy photos of the ‘California’ girl surfaced. (Don’t they always?)

“This was a business decision, based solely on contract violations,” Keith Lewis, executive director of K2 Productions, said in documents obtained by Fox News.

“After our press conference in New York we had hoped we would be able to forge a better working relationship. However, since that time it has become abundantly clear that Carrie has no desire to fulfill her obligations under our contract and work together.”

First runner-up Tami Farrell will assume the responsibilities of Miss California USA.

Representatives for K2, Prejean, and Trump have yet to comment.
