Welcome to the ‘Neighborhood’?

CBS is hosting one wacky block party.

A suburban community will be put on lockdown for the new reality series, ‘There Goes the Neighborhood.’

In the ‘social and family bonding experiment,’ eight families are isolated behind a 20-foot wall, where they’ll have ‘virtually no electricity’ and will be cut-off from all communications–no TV, no internet, no cell phones.

Contestants will compete against their neighbors in ‘family-friendly’ games, with one family eliminated each week, for a grand prize of $250,000.

“This show is truly a social experiment,” says executive producer Mike Fleiss (‘The Bachelor’). “We’ve never seen anything like it before. An entire neighborhood trapped behind a giant wall. It’s insane!”

The seven-episode series premieres August 9th at 9 p.m. on CBS.
