‘The Bachelor’ Jason Mesnick And Molly Malaney Still Plan To Wed

Name: Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney

Why We Care About Them: Well, we aren’t sure we care, but we’re intensely curious whether Mesnick, the former star of ‘The Bachelor‘, will really marry Maleney, a department store buyer from Milwaukee, who was actually his number two choice on the show.

Say What? In case you need a refresher – hey, a lot of reality TV has happened since then – initially Mesnick proposed to Melissa Rycroft, a choice that found him asking, “How can I be sitting here this hurt? Today is supposed to be the happiest day of my life.” Six weeks later, he stunned both Rycroft and millions of viewers when he dumped Rycroft on the live ‘After the Final Rose” special. Then he professed his continuing love for Malaney. “I haven’t been able to stop thinking about you,” he said. “My heart hasn’t let go.” See more photos.

What She Said: “This is something I dreamt of but never expected to hear. My feelings never changed for you. To hear you say this, of course, I’m so excited about it. There’s a piece of me that’s confused…I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t glad this happened.”

And Now? Mesnick and Malaney, recently spotted on vacation in Turks and Caicos, recently appeared on Good Morning America. In their first joint interview, they described their five-month relationship as still going strong and said “things are great.”

Will They Get Married? “Absolutely. Someday,” they said on GMA.

Do We Believe Them? We hate to answer a question with a question, but who knows?

And Rycroft? After a strong showing on ‘Dancing With The Stars,’ the former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader signed on as a contributor to ‘Good Morning America,” and last week she announced her engagement to Ty Strickland, an insurance agent who she has dated for 2-1/2 years.

Weird Coincidence: Mesnick’s son is named Ty.
