Mischa Barton’s new television series has been postponed, although, according to The Hollywood Reporter, it is not due to the actress’ recent ‘meltdown.’
The production start on ‘The Beautiful Life‘ has been delayed a week, from July 22nd to July 31st, because the sets have not been completed in time.
Barton made the headlines last week when it was reported she was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after police were called to her home Wednesday night.
Barton (‘The O.C.‘) was arrested for DUI and marijuana possession in 2007 but the charges were later dropped. She checked into rehab soon after.
Barton’s future on The CW series remains unknown at this time. She was to star, along with supermodel Elle MacPherson, on the Ashton Kutcher produced series about the cutthroat world of modeling.
For now, ‘The Beautiful Life’ is still scheduled to premiere on Sept. 16th, where it will be paired on Wednesday nights, appropriately enough, with ‘America’s Next Top Model.’
