New On DVD: Pushing Daisies, Prison Break: The Final Break

Pushing Daisies
This brilliant series just wasn’t destined to have a long life on broadcast TV, with only 13 episodes produced for its second season. Regardless, existing ‘Pushing Daisies‘ fans (and hopefully new ones) can forever experience the fun with this new DVD set of the sophomore season. The DVD set includes 13 episodes, including the little seen last three, and entertaining featurettes with series creator Bryan Fuller, a look at how the writers drafted an idea into a script, the music of Jim Dooley and a great look at how they created the ambitious visual effects for the show. If you have a Blu-ray player, don’t bother with the standard edition. Get the Blu-ray as this series is tailor made for the format. Buy it right here.

Prison Break
Yeah, we know how it all ended (RIP, Michael). But what happened in the 4-year gap between the end of ‘Prison Break‘ and the epilogue where we see Michael’s young son, Sara and the rest of the crew? Find out in ‘Prison Break: The Final Break’ as Michael is pulled back into the game and forced to cooperate with some decidedly unseemly characters when Sara is arrested for a murder she didn’t commit. Before someone collects the bounty on Sara’s head, Michael must pull one last daring prison break to save his true love and unborn child. Buy the DVD right here.

The Mighty Boosh
Are you a fan of English comedy and are itchin’ to try something new? Then give the BBC comedy ‘The Mighty Boosh‘ a try. All three seasons of the wacky comedy about two sad-sack zookeepers are now available on DVD. Be warned: these sets are bare bones including only the original episodes from each season. If you are a super fan, wait a little bit longer for October when WB will offer a special edition, seven-disc set with additional features. Buy the DVD right here.
