Dane Cook Insults Vanessa Hudgens, DeGeneres Gets Generous At ‘Teen Choice Awards’

Gossip Girl‘ cleaned up pretty nicely at the ‘2009 Teen Choice Awards,’ winning the Choice TV Show award, while Choice TV Actress: Drama went to Leighton Meester and Choice TV Villain to Ed Westwick.

Miley Cyrus was by far the biggest spectacle of the night, with ‘Hannah Montana‘ snagging the TV Comedy award, while Ellen DeGeneres won the liveliest awards of the night – Choice Twit. Adam Lambert took home the Choice TV: Male Reality Star, and ‘The Hills‘ got two reality nods – one for Choice TV Reality Star for Lauren Conrad and another for Choice TV Reality.

Highlights of the night included Miley Cyrus dancing atop an ice cream cart with a pole attached – while fans looked on in confused hormonal terror; a perplexed Britney Spears grabbing the Ultimate Choice Award – the TCA’s equivalent of a Lifetime Achievement (most likely making the 27-year old feel ancient); Dane Cook cracking an un-aired joke about Vanessa Hudgens’ nude photo leaks (“Girl, you got to keep your clothes on. Phones are for phone calls, girl!” he said); and Ellen DeGeneres giving out $1,000 to a random friend on her Twitter page.
