You likely heard the news that Les Paul, the inventor of the solid-body electric guitar, died yesterday at the age of 94. Could there possibly be any better way to celebrate the memory of the man who made rock and roll possible than going to see this documentary about three of the greatest guitarists of their respective generations practicing their craft? Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin, The Edge of U2 and Jack White of The White Stripes get together to talk music, memories and the magic of the instrument they’ve chosen as their method of storytelling. “It is my voice,” says The Edge in the trailer above, and he has Les Paul to thank for allowing him to speak.
