A massive alien spacecraft arrived hovering in stillness over South Africa, and when contact was finally made with the beings inside, they were in need of help and food. 20 years later, they all live in deplorable slums and are about to be evicted and forcefully moved into a detention camp. That is until Wikus van der Merwe (Sharlto Copley) of Multi-National United, who is running the eviction process, comes across a startling, horrifying discovery that changes everything.
