The wait is almost over to get a look at Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds, a compelling and daring take on World War II, which also marks the first time he’s worked directly with Brad Pitt (Tarantino did write True Romance, in which Pitt played one of his most memorable roles as Floyd the stoner). What kind of pressure is there when working with a star as big as Pitt? On The Late Show with David Letterman last night, Tarantino said his biggest challenge was keeping him awake. At one point during the interview, he also attributed his intentional misspelling of the title to being his “Basquiat-like touch.”
