Chris Brown didn’t like Oprah’s domestic violence special last spring, which she dedicated “to all the Rihanna’s” out there. And he’s speaking out about it to People magazine.
“I commend Oprah on being like, ‘This is a problem,’ but it was a slap in my face,” he said to the magazine.
He also went so far as to call out the talk show legend, because of all the things he did for her show. “I did a lot of stuff for her, like going to Africa and performing for her school,” he said. “She could have been more helpful, like, ‘OK, I’m going to help both of these people out.’ ”
Oprah’s people, on the other hand, were just as peeved. “Oprah is very appreciative that Chris Brown performed at her school, but she takes domestic abuse very seriously,” a spokesperson for Oprah Winfrey told E! News, adding “She hopes he gets the counseling he needs.”
Brown was arrested for beating up his then-girlfriend Rihanna after The Grammy Awards back in February. The singer “tried to force his girlfriend out of the Lamborghini, and hit her head against the passenger window.” He then began to punch her while driving, “with his right hand while steering the vehicle with his left hand.”
