Despite lackluster ratings the CW has ordered six more scripts from ‘Melrose Place,’ according to Variety.

The CW also ordered additional ‘Vampire Diaries‘ scripts and gave ‘One Tree Hill‘ a full-season pickup.

‘Hill’ is currently in its seventh season while ‘Vampire Diaries’ was the network’s biggest premiere with 4.9 million viewers.

With Heather Locklear returning to ‘Melrose Place’ November 17 network executives are hopeful the prime-time soap will see a spike in ratings. The actor was brought on board the original series to boost ratings.

‘Melrose Place’ dropped from 2.3 million viewers for its premiere to 1.44 million Tuesday night.

Still to be decided is the fate of ‘The Beautiful Life: TBL,‘ a CW drama about NYC models. Wednesday night’s episode had 1.1 million viewers, according to early Nielsen ratings.
