Hunt Out, Graham Eyed For ‘Parenthood’ Role

Looks like NBC wasn’t mad about Helen Hunt replacing Maura Tierney in NBC’s midseason drama ‘Parenthood,’ as the network is now reportedly eyeing ‘Gilmore Girls‘ alum Lauren Graham for the part.

Tierney was forced to drop out of the role back in September, citing scheduling conflicts due to breast cancer treatments.

A week after Tierney’s announcement, reports started circulating that Hunt was in the running for the role.

EW’s Michael Ausiello says talks broke down between the Peacock network and Hunt, and now Graham has been meeting with ‘Parenthood’ executive producer Jason Katims for the part of single mother Sarah.
