It’s ‘I do’ deja vu!
After a rocky start to their relationship on the ABC dating series, Mesnick and Malaney have come full circle.
Jason popped the question to Molly (for real) Monday night in New Zealand, the same location where he sent her broken heart packing and proposed to the other one on last year’s season finale of ‘The Bachelor.’
Jason then pulled the infamous switcheroo that caused a fan furor, when he broke up with his chosen one Melissa Rycroft on-air in the ‘After the Final Rose’ special and announced he wanted a second chance with his runner up, Molly.
A year later, the couple, who’ve maintained a long-distance relationship (ruh roh), returned to the same spot so “Jason can do what he should have done the last time he was here,” says an inside source, “and ask Molly to marry him.”
Second time’s the charm?
Getting dumped on TV didn’t hurt Rycroft too badly either: She went on to make the Final Three this spring on ‘Dancing with the Stars‘ and rebounded on the love front too–she’s set to marry insurance agent Tye Strickland on Dec. 12th.
‘The Bachelor’ has a notoriously poor failure rate of actually ‘finding the one’…so all we can say is good luck to the new guy!
In honor of this rare good news on TV showmances, we decided to take a trip down Lovers’ Lane for a look at the history of ‘The Bachelor.’
Are you glad Jason and Molly finally made it official? Do you think they will last?
