Tuned In: What’s Hot In The World Of TV

It’s Manny’s turn to shine tonight on the best new comedy of the season, ‘Modern Family,’ (9pm ET on ABC). Manny takes up fencing, and when it turns out he’s quite good at it, Jay beams with pride, which opens up some childhood wounds for Mitchell. Elsewhere, Phil tries desperately to find what Luke’s talents (if any) are. Consistently funny, smart, well-written and acted, this comedy could just herald the return of the genre to popularity.

The first episode starts off with a bang as Jeana feels the effects of the economic downturn on her real estate business. Plus, a new housewife is introduced, and of course there’s more than enough drama with Vicky, Tamra, and all the rest of our favorites. Get your claws out!
