Opening Wide: The Box, A Christmas Carol, Fourth Kind, Men Who Stare At Goats

Here’s what’s opening in theaters nationwide this weekend, and it’s a kooky crop this time around. Of course, Jim Carrey’s A Christmas Carol in 3-D will do boffo business. George Clooney’s oddball psychic soldier story The Men Who Stare At Goats will likely be an acquired taste, while Richard Kelly’s long-awaited The Box might draw the Darko cult. Then there’s the experimental alien abduction film The Fourth Kind, which takes “reality-style” to a new level.
