An exciting ep of ‘How I Met Your Mother’ was a Twitter fave last night with the return of Slapsgiving and Lily showing off her dark side. @tvinaflash commented, “Slapsgiving payoff was totally worth the wait. I believe I let out a squeal.” @tigerhawk310 remarked, “Best HIMYM of the season! Including the commercial for Slap Bet: The Board Game.”

The Slap Bet Board Game commercial parody attracted a lot of attention, with many fans of the show joking they’d like to add it to their holiday wish lists. It did cause a bit of a stir when @tutakalaka sent Neil Patrick Harris (@ActuallyNPH) this tweet: “Did producers of HIMYM actually think it was a good idea 2 show little boy slapping a little girl? Jr domestic abuse isn’t funny.” He addressed the concern with this response “I don’t know that I agree w/ you. I actually directed that parody commercial and it seems overt in its comedy. Made me laugh.”

Continuing the comedy trend on Monday was ‘The Big Bang Theory,’ which featured a cameo by ‘Battlestar Galactica’s’ Katee Sackhoff.

You could see the collective squeals of delight from fanboys and fangirls, including @MikeMcG: “That’s right, Big Bang Theory, keep making BSG references. You know what I like.” @nicolasmagand tweeted, “Spoiler alert: Katee ‘Starbuck’ Sackhoff in last episode of the Big Bang Theory, BEST GEEKY TV CAMEO EVER.” @krithiva thought, “Tonite’s Big Bang Theory was the best episode this season. Am still laughin’ over it; Sheldon and co simply rocked!”

Fans of ‘Cougar Town‘ can breathe easy after production was halted due to a family issue for Courtney Cox. Co-star Busy Philipps (@Busyphilipps25) dispelled the cancellation rumours, and had this to share via Twitter yesterday: “Cougartown was only down for one day – we’re back shooting after Thanksgiving.” Filming resumes on November 30th.
