Watch out, America, Adam Lambert could be back on ABC.
After shocking viewers (and TV execs) with his performance at the American Music Awards last month, ‘American Idol‘ star Adam Lambert may appear on the network that banned him for it.
According to the New York Post, Lambert’s song, ‘Time for Miracles,’ which appears in the sci-fi thriller ‘2012,’ could garner an Oscar nod. If that’s the case, the singer would get the chance to perform the song during the March 7th Oscars telecast, hosted by Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin.
Lambert’s November performance was deemed “racy” and ABC followed up by pulling the plug on several performances the young star had lined up.
Lambert tweeted about the drama: “Yes, sadly friends, ABC has canceled my appearances on Kimmel and NYE. :( don’t blame them. It’s the FCC heat.”
Although the Academy Award nominations aren’t announced until February 22nd, Lambert is already slowly reappearing on network TV. He’s scheduled to be back on ABC Thursday for a pre-taped performance on ‘The View.’ And he’s set to perform on ‘The Jay Leno Show‘ on December 21st.
