MSNBC is saying goodbye to its noon health program ‘Dr. Nancy,’ hosted by NBC chief medical editor Dr. Nancy Snyderman, reports TVNewser.

On the air a mere six months, the medical program struggled in ratings, coming in fifth place in November behind other outlets Fox News, CNN, HLN, and CNBC.

The cancellation comes on the heels of other daytime programming moves by the network. Last week plans were announced to move Dylan Ratigan’s ‘Morning Meeting’ from two hours at 9 am to one hour at 4 pm, and to create a new 9 am show hosted by NBC White House correspondents Chuck Todd and Savannah Guthrie.

Although Snyderman’s Twitter page still advertises ‘Dr. Nancy,’ the final episode aired last Thursday. The noon hour has currently been replaced with news hosted by various network anchors.
