Watch out, Ryan Seacrest – Neil Patrick Harris is starting to make you look like a slacker.

The ‘How I Met Your Mother‘ star, recent ‘American Idol‘ guest judge and oft-recruited awards show emcee has signed on to host ‘The Cube,’ CBS’ import of a popular UK game show, says

Harris, who would serve as an executive producer on the program, will fly to London later this year to tape a pilot.

In ‘The Cube,’ contestants must complete a series of simple tasks or games while situated inside a giant glass chamber. For each success, they add to their monetary haul. The challenges, though, are not always as easy as they seem, and the cube confines tend to add to the pressure.

Fox considered bringing the gamer across the pond last fall but ultimately stopped development.

In addition to his ‘Mother’ role and ‘Idol’ visit, Harris has hosted such awards shows as the Primetime Emmys and the Tonys. The multi-talented actor also has a possible guest gig on Fox’s ‘Glee’ in the works.
