Former ‘Boston Legal‘ actor Justin Mentell was killed Monday in a car accident in rural Wisconsin, the Associated Press confirms.
The 27-year-old actor’s Jeep swerved off the road, tumbled down a steep embankment and struck two trees around 3 a.m. Mentell, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, after the crash was reported at approximately 8:30 a.m.
Mentell played attorney Garrett Wells on ABC’s witty legal drama during the 2005-2006 season. He last appeared in the 2009 Disney film, ‘G-Force,’ starring Nicolas Cage, Sam Rockwell and Penelope Cruz.
Born in Austin, Texas, and later a resident of Waukegan, Illinois, Mentell was a former member of the U.S. Junior National Speedskating team.
