Fresh off her indiscretion with ‘Mad Men’s not-exactly-eligible Don Draper, Abigail Spencer is once again making waves – this time on TNT’s ‘HawthoRNe.’
When the medical drama kicks off its second season this summer, Spencer will appear in eight episodes as Dr. Erin Brunswick, an internist who sits on the hospital’s board of ethics and, says one source, “stirs up a bit of trouble.”
My interpretation of that tease: Spencer’s character will prove to be an obstacle for any potential romance between Hawthorne (Jada Pinkett Smith) and Dr. Tom Wakefield (Michael Vartan).
On ‘Mad Men,’ Spencer played Suzanne Farrell, a schoolteacher of Sally’s who engaged in an affair with Don. More recently, she guest-starred on ABC’s ‘Castle.’
The in-demand actress also has a lead role in ‘Rex Is Not Lawyer,’ NBC’s dramedy pilot fronted by David Tennant (‘Doctor Who’) and which is still in consideration for the fall schedule.
