For a change, ‘Two and a Half Men‘s other brother is going to get lucky. Sitcom vet Courtney Thorne-Smith is joining the CBS hit for multiple episodes as a romantic interest for Jon Cryer’s unlucky-in-love Alan.

Thorne-Smith, who played wife to Jim Belushi for eight years on ‘According to Jim,’ will first appear in a spring episode titled ‘Single Mom’ – fitting, since her Lyndsey is the divorced mother of a rather nasty classmate of Jake’s.

As such, Alan gets charged up to give his fellow parent a piece of his mind … until he sets his sights on the blonde beauty.

Thorne-Smith of course also is very familiar to TV viewers from her run on the original ‘Melrose Place,’ where she played wholesome Allison.

As for the other ‘Half’ of ‘Men,’ there’s speculation that Charlie Sheen’s personal issues may affect production of the sitcom. Get the details here.
