Yes folks, the rumors are true – Ali Fedotowsky will be the next ‘Bachelorette.’
During Monday night’s ‘After the Final Rose’ show, ‘Bachelor‘ host Chris Harrison announced the 25-year-old San Francisco resident as next season’s new ‘Bachelorette.’
Dressed in an asymmetrical black mini dress, Ali appeared to cheers from the crowd, saying of the news: “It’s nice to be supported. I feel so blessed. It’s wonderful.”
Fedotowsky, who faced substantial backlash for her decision to leave Jake Pavelka on this season’s ‘Bachelor’ in order to return to her job, confessed she initially felt fearful of appearing on another dating show. “When I found out I felt a little scared at first,” she said, adding “But I realized I’m not going to let my fear dictate my life anymore. I want to find someone and get married and have kids. I’m not going to make the same mistake I made last time.”
So what is Ali looking for in a potential husband?
“First – I want fifty guys, not twenty-five,” she quipped.
“I really want funny,” she said. “A funny, smart, kind of quirky guy.” Paging Reid Rosenthal, anyone?
“In general though I don’t need anything in particular – I’m looking for a feeling,” she said.
The new season of ‘The Bachelorette’ premieres Monday, May 24 on ABC.
What do you think? Will you watch Ali next season? Was she the right pick?
